Formlabs Fuse 1+ is an industrial 3D printer working in SLS technology with a working area of 165 x 165 x 300mm. The printer is perfect for functional prototyping and small-lot production. The device is designed for both beginners and advanced users.
The Formlabs Fuse 1+ 3D printer is equipped with a 30W laser, which enables printing almost twice as fast as the previous version of Fuse 1. The active powder management system allows the use of new materials prepared exclusively for Formlabs. In addition, the device enables printing in a nitrogen shield, which guarantees high efficiency and quality of all elements printed in SLS technology.
Print precision parts in 24 hours with a powerful 30W laser that prints up to 12.5 millimeters per second.
The printer allows the use of new materials and achieve higher performance on existing ones, thanks to active powder handling and the option of printing in inert gas.
Optimization of the bulk density of powders and the ability to recycle the powder allows for waste-free printing and reduces unit costs.
The dedicated PreForm software is included with the printer, which allows you to import STL or OBJ files, change the position of models and their orientation, estimate printing time and monitor printouts. PreForm has a special algorithm that allows multiple models to be stacked on top of each other to maximize model density and reduce printing time and waste.
During the setup and printing process, the intuitive touch user interface will guide you through every step. In addition, the touchscreen displays the print trick in real time, allowing the user to watch each new layer take shape. The printer has a built-in camera that allows you to remotely monitor the printing process.
The SLS (Selective Layer Sintering) printing technology consists in combining the powder layer by layer with a laser. Leftover material supports parts during printing, so you can create complex, connected designs without the need for supports. Surface Armor technology creates a semi-sintered coating around the surface of each part, improving its mechanical properties and surface quality. These properties are even greater when using the inert gas printing option.
The Fuse Sift station allows for part extraction, recovery, storage and powder mixing. It automatically dispenses and then mixes used and new powder, enabling the production of fully functional parts with a high level of powder recycling, less waste and a lower cost per part.
The printer allows you to quickly print prototypes and small series of end-use parts in less than 24 hours. The additional, removable build chamber allows for better workflow, while the fast cooling time allows you to start a new print in 1-2 hours.
