The filament is based on PPA (polyphthalamide or high performance / high temperature nylon), which has excellent mechanical and thermal properties compared to other nylon fibers. Due to its properties, PPA CF is used for end-use applications in the automotive, aerospace, electrical and electronics industries.

The addition of carbon fiber makes the filament lower density, lower moisture absorption, high strength and stiffness, high wear resistance and excellent chemical and thermal resistance.

It is recommended to use an abrasion resistant nozzle when printing with PPA CF material. The finished printout is recommended to be placed in an oven at 80 - 100 °C for 8 to 12 hours, and then naturally cooled to room temperature.
