Even with the most modern scanners, the use of a matting spray is necessary in a few cases. The first is to scan transparent parts. In this case, we are dealing with optical technologies in which light must be reflected from the surface back to the scanner sensor. In the case of transparent surfaces, light passes through their surface instead of being reflected from it. This makes the scanner unable to grasp the surface structure. The second is the reflective parts. In reflective parts such as a mirror, the light beams are reflected in a focused rather than scattered manner, which means that the scanner only intercepts a fraction of the reflected light beams. The spray can also be used when high quality and accuracy are needed to remove color differences, reflections and textures.

AESUB White is a permanent 3D scanning spray that has been developed by experts in 3D scanning. The spray creates a homogeneous, thin, matte layer on the surface of the object. The spray ensures optimal contrast values, a uniform and homogeneous coating and fine scalability. The average layer thickness is ~ 7 μm. AESUB White has been optimized in terms of material compatibility and does not contain titanium dioxide.

Application

AESUB White Spray is used in automotive, engineering, architecture and reverse engineering, among others. AESUB White contains solvents, therefore the specific material compatibility should be checked prior to use. Also note that repeatedly spraying the object will increase the thickness of the layer. AESUB White is a permanent spray which means that the sprayed parts should be cleaned or discarded after scanning.
