On August 31, 2022, a meeting took place at the GLOBAL 3D headquarters in Nysa between company representatives and the Vice-Rectors of Koszalin University of Technology—Prof. Tomasz Królikowski and Prof. Krzysztof Wasilewski. As part of the establishment of the EU4DUAL European University—a joint initiative involving Koszalin University of Technology—GLOBAL 3D, an expert in additive manufacturing technologies, will assist the university in developing curricula for the new profession of 3D printer operator. This collaboration will lead to the creation of study programs and systems for training and professional upskilling, as well as the initiation of research focused on both dual and practical education. All these efforts are driven by the goal of fostering cooperation between academia and business and strengthening socio-economic collaboration.
Global 3D partners with the Spanish company BCN3D, thereby offering devices designed for industry and education. These machines feature the innovative IDEX system—two independently operating extruders—which enables the production of professional-grade prints in half the time while maintaining perfect quality. Under this partnership agreement, our company will handle servicing for BCN3D printers in Poland, providing customers with direct support for both implementation and ongoing operation.
It is a great honor for GLOBAL 3D that its first cooperation agreement with an academic institution was signed with the State University of Applied Sciences in Nysa (PWSZ), the alma mater of the company’s founders, Bartłomiej Kozak and Grzegorz Sługocki. Under this partnership, GLOBAL 3D and PWSZ in Nysa plan to conduct research and development activities, organize workshops, training sessions, and conferences, and create opportunities for practical placements, professional internships, and employment for PWSZ students and graduates.
The cooperation agreement was signed by representatives of the parties: Grzegorz Sługocki, Chief Technology Officer at GLOBAL 3D, and Tomasz Królikowski, D.Sc. Eng. (Professor at the University of Technology), Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Director of the 3D Printing Center at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. This partnership enables our company to utilize services offered by the university—specifically, the specialized digitization and additive manufacturing equipment available at the 3D Printing Center.
