The Prusa i3 MK3S + has the new MK52 magnetic work table which has a removable spring steel plate covered with a smooth PEI sheet. This makes the prints adhere perfectly to the heatbed during printing and makes it easier to remove them after finishing work. In addition, the Y axis frame is made of aluminum profiles that ensure high rigidity and stability of the device.

The printer has been equipped with new Trinamic 2130 drivers and a special Noctua fan ensuring extremely quiet operation. MK3S + has an improved filament sensor that activates the sensor when the filament is inserted into the head. The type and color of the material do not matter for the filament detection mechanism and it is not susceptible to mechanical wear.

The device has an EINSY RAMBo motherboard with a Trinamic driver, which allows you to detect lost steps and shifted layers. In addition, the motherboard is equipped with special outputs for connecting the Raspberry Pi Zero W, which allows you to extend the printer's functions with the possibility of using WiFi with the OctoPrint interface.

The Prusa i3 MK3S + is equipped with an improved extruder by Bondtech. The extruder is designed so that the material is held on both sides to increase the force of feeding it to the hotned. This makes the printer more precise and reliable, especially when printing with flexible materials. In addition, the printer uses an E3D V6 nozzle, which is perfect for working in high temperatures.

The printer has a SuperPINDA leveling sensor, which has been designed to be as insensitive to temperature changes as possible. The sensor has an advanced design and the highest quality sensor. The SuperPINDA leveling sensor guarantees a perfect first layer of the model every time.

Metal Misumi bearings included in the printer provide a stable support for the device. The improved X-axis belt tensioning mechanism and the reinforcement of the plastic X-axis ends increase the precision of the 3D printer.

The SuperPINDA sensor used makes the printer use Mesh Bed Leveling in order to eliminate microscopic imperfections of the table top surface and deviations caused by the summation of production tolerances of various elements and assembly inaccuracies.

The MK3S + model has the function of resuming printing after an unexpected loss of power. After losing power, the printer automatically turns off the heating of the table and the extruder and saves the last position of the head, while after resuming the power supply, it continues printing from the same point where the work was interrupted.

The filament is cooled on both sides. This increases the efficiency of the printer and improves the quality of details. If the cooling fan or extruder stops, the second element also stops working. This solution helps to avoid damage to the printout due to improper cooling or lack of cooling. The printer has the function of compensating the cold corners of the table. This function allows for even distribution of heat, preventing the edges of the print from curling up.

The Prusa i3 MK3S + has fully automatic calibration. This allows you to achieve even greater precision, and also makes the work with the device faster and easier. In order to speed up the work of the 3D printing process even more, the printer itself detects the ending filament and automatically loads the next roll from the tray. The printer has a function that allows you to change the color of the filament during operation, which allows you to create multi-color prints.

PrusaSlicer software

PrusaSlicer (formerly known as Slic3r Prusa Edition or Slic3r PE) is a free software for slicing models into layers, based on the open-source Slic3r project. Rich features and frequent updates make PrusaSlicer the tool that includes everything you need to create the perfect print files. The software is available for Windows, Mac and Linux.

The printer supports, among others, Octoprint, Repetier Host and SD FlashAir cards, which allows you to send a g-code file to the printer with one click. The PrusaSlicer software works with various advanced features of Octoprint such as the send queue and the Cancelobject plugin, which allows you to cancel printing of one specific object on the printer table.
