FLUO / FLUORESCENT

Fluorescent filament is an effective way to highlight models, gadgets and marking elements. Thanks to the addition of pigments, it is enough to expose it to natural or artificial light to give it a clear glow in the dark. This is a solution that combines the simplicity of PLA printing with a unique, practical light effect.

How does glow-in-the-dark filament work?

The coating or mass of the material contains pigments that store light energy (e.g. from LED lamps or daylight). After exposure, the model glows in the dark without additional power. The intensity and length of the glow depend on:

• time and exposure power
• concentration and quality of pigment in the filament
• wall thickness and layer height (thicker walls can shine longer)

Applications of fluorescent filaments

Fluorescent filament is a perfect solution:

• safety and directional markings (arrows, pictograms, markers)
• gadgets and accessories - key rings, cases, cosplay elements, props
