3D Printer KODAK Portrait
KODAK Portrait is a desktop 3D printer built for performance and ease of use.
Drukarka 3D KODAK Portrait to niezawodny system produkcyjny, zdolny do produkcji części końcowych w szerokiej gamie materiałów. Solidna stalowa konstrukcja, wysokiej jakości komponenty i staranne wykonanie przekładają się na bezawaryjność pracy przy jednoczesnym zachowaniu niskich kosztów eksploatacji i konserwacji.
The first professional 3D printer in the desktop segment from Kodak includes many features that make it stand out from the many other proposals currently available on the 3D printing market. Model Portrait enters the crowded market where we can already find hundreds of other models, but you can certainly say that it brings something more - the quality of the KODAK brand. The device was created for professionals in the field of design, engineering, prototyping and incremental production.
Only a fully enclosed environment with completely steel elements and a lifting system and two extruders can provide good performance when using high temperature polymers.
In the Portrait model we have at our disposal double extruder, which provides not only the ability to create two-color prints but also from two different materials at the same time. Extruder has automatic hot-lift system, which is responsible for maneuvering the position of the nozzle of one hotend while the other extrudes the material to prevent damage and scratches on the model. Kodak Portrait has a quick hotend replacement system so that replacement is possible in less than a minute.
The standard set with the printer are provided two hotends: PTFE - for filaments such as PLA or Flex and completely metal for the needs of engineering materials np. PLA Tough, ABS, HIPS, PETG, Nylon 6 lub Nylon 12.
Safe and clear, intuitive Portrait touch screen, automatic leveling / calibration and pre-set parameters for each material allow it to be used by beginners as well as all levels of complexity.
Working field 200x200x235 mm (10 liters), it provides the ability to create relatively large models, but the device itself is still on the desk and can be carried by one person.
Kodak Portrait has completely closed working chamber thanks to that it allows for handling many types of filaments. The closed chamber also ensures increased safety of the device by keeping the operator's fingers away from hot or moving parts, reduces noise, protects against drafts and keeps the heat inside the printer - which is crucial in preventing deformation of printouts.
The printer compartment has also been equipped with HEPA filter, which stops harmful fumes created in the printing process - thanks to this the device is adapted to work in office space, classes and laboratories.
Together with the portrait printer there is a dedicated software for its support - KODAK 3D Cloud. The benefits and opportunities offered by the software included with the KODAK Portrait 3D printer:
Each 3D printer KODAK Portrait before he goes to the customer, he goes through in-depth quality control. During the qualitative tests, the device must print for at least 5 hours, the tests also include leveled table, dimensional behavior control, printouts of models consisting of several parts that should match perfectly, print cooling and printing of two materials at the same time. Thanks to such a detailed control - you get the device working and ready to work right out of the box.
Security
For use in offices or educational facilities, a closed chamber with air filtration prevents toxic particles or odors from escaping from the printer, as well as protects from hot moving parts.
Solid construction
Stable, completely steel construction in a closed environment that allows temperature monitoring to achieve repeatable 3D printing experience.
Availability
Get access to the management platform via Wi-Fi or LAN port to monitor print jobs, run a printing farm and receive online updates and tap all the possibilities.
Versatility
Two extruders with automatic nozzle raising feature removable PTFE or metal full hotend for optimum performance with any material.
The Kodak Portrait 3D printer offers a wide range of high quality materials - all materials are produced in a controlled environment and then sealed in vacuum pouches. In the set with the printer there are special filament cassettes whose task is to maintain an appropriate environment for the material during printing.
To preserve their highest quality, special security cassettes are provided with the printer to ensure the right environment for filaments during printing.
KODAK conducts an open material policy - it also allows the use of third-party filaments.
ABS
ABS is a widely used fiber suitable for producing more durable and stronger parts than with PLA, because it can withstand higher temperatures, is slightly more flexible and can be easily painted. It can be treated with acetone or acetone vapor to give it a shiny finish (carefully!) And strengthen the object or solidly glue the parts together. Use HIPS as a carrier material for ABS printing. ABS shrinks when it cools, so use a closed printer with warm and constant air temperature (> 25 ° C), to prevent delamination or warping.
Flex 98
TPU or Flex open up many interesting, impact-resistant and bending objects. You can make live hinges connected to it and connect them to rigid plastics. You can not make supports from it, but you can easily attach the knives with your knife. High intercoat adhesion prevents easy breaking of objects along the Z axis.
HIPS
HIPS is a good electrical insulator that can be ground and painted with acrylic paints. This is a good alternative to the classic PLA for models. It has medium elasticity and medium temperature resistance. The raw material is in compliance with section 201 (s) of the US Federal Law, medicines and cosmetics, and parts 182, 184 and 186 of food additives.
Nylon 12
The ideal material for durable parts, Nylon 12 is the best choice for printing high-stress operating mechanisms. It is less hygroscopic than Nylon 6 and extremely stable both thermally and chemically. It exhibits excellent physical properties, such as the flexibility of thin walls and excellent resistance. Do not use in direct contact with food.
Nylon 6
The most powerful of all engineering plastics. Build handles, guides, holders, covers and other production aids that require good mechanical strength and tensile strength. Excellent resistance to heat, oils, solvents and chemicals. Our "Fluo" variety transmits ultraviolet / black light, so you can create objects that glow in the dark. Do not use in direct contact with food. Do not leave exposed to air, because it easily absorbs moisture, which can significantly affect the print.
PETG
An easy-to-use material that has many advantages. It is stronger and more temperature-resistant than PLA. Compared to ABS, it is as durable as ABS, but it can be printed with less distortion and has the advantage of being odorless. PETG is used for many applications due to its good mechanical and aesthetic properties. It is often used in applications that must contain food and water. It is recommended to store the fiber in a dry container. It is important to adjust the retraction settings to reduce stretching.
PLA+
PLA+ is an improved version of PLA, suitable for replacing ABS in many aspects. It provides excellent visual quality and has a very low shrinkage and warpage. It has high impact resistance ABS. Impact resistance is up to nine times higher than in regular PLA. It has fast crystallization that allows printing without support and with very fine details. Ideal for high resolution or fast printing.
PLA Tough
PLA Tough is an improved version of PLA and better than PLA +, made of the best materials available. Do not use in direct contact with food.
PVA
A fiber created specifically for use as an auxiliary material for hard-to-print objects. It is mainly used in combination with PLA, although it can be used with other materials. The material is soluble in water and allows easy printing of objects that would not be possible by other methods. Because the material is sensitive to moisture, it must be stored in airtight containers. In the case of a double printing session, it is recommended to cool the extruder when it is not in use.
