The process of creating copies and replicas of exhibits by museums is very time-consuming and expensive. Companies like Get Models Now are changing this by using 3D printing to recreate valuable, historical objects. That is why the Museum of Applied Arts, part of the National Museum in Poznań, asked experts from GMN to create a series of objects for a miniature interior.

The work began with GMN scanning exhibits from the Baroque, Rococo and Biedermeier periods. Then they were printed from biodegradable materials on a multifunctional 3D printer ZMorph. To give the objects authenticity, even the smallest details were hand-painted during the post-production process. The finished objects were placed in miniature scenography modeled on historical interiors.

The miniature interiors consist of 3D printed wardrobes, secretaries, sofas, chairs, tables, and even vases and candlesticks - all of them are distinguished by their detail and quality of workmanship. The sets built by Get Models Now were placed on display at the Museum of Applied Arts in Poznań, right next to the original exhibits. They help visitors better understand a given era and the evolution of applied art through the centuries.
