Calibry Nest software for 3D scanners

Calibry Nest's software makes the scanning process easier. Its simple and easy-to-use interface and the built-in screen of the Calibry scanner will allow for more precise control of the scanning process.

Preview mode

Real-time preview allowing you to select the scanning mode and adjust parameters such as selecting the correct scanning angle, optimal distance, surface type, etc.

Scan mode

Scanning modes are available with alignment based on markers, based on the geometric features of the object and based on its texture.

Saving data

The scanner has a built-in hard drive where scanning results are stored. Data can be transferred to the computer via WiFi or USB.

Deleting files

Calibry Nest allows full management of scan files from the display level, it is also possible to delete unnecessary projects from the disk from the scanner display level.

Settings

Advanced settings allowing you to select the sensitivity level for particularly difficult objects or outdoor scanning.

Light brightness control

Possibility to adjust the brightness level of the light emitted from the projector in order to reproduce the quality of textures and reduce noise as accurately as possible.

Scanning modes

Once the scanning process is complete, the software allows you to easily transfer data from the scanner to your computer. The software has two modes: simple and advanced.

Calibry Nest - Simple mode

Simple mode is intended to enable maximum quick and simple scanning that does not require the user to perform advanced scan processing. In this mode, only basic functions are available, such as starting and ending scanning, thanks to which the digitization process is lightning fast. Scanning in simple mode is an ideal solution when working with objects that are highly repeatable - e.g. scanning people's silhouettes on a turntable or scanning limbs for prosthetic purposes. Post-processing of the scanned data is performed automatically, and the resulting model already contains applied textures and is adapted for 3D printing.

Calibry Nest - Advanced mode

The advanced mode is intended for scanning various types of objects. It has many functions useful for more demanding objects. It allows, among other things:

• simplification of the model
• matching several scans to one
• lightening and darkening textures
• cutting out fragments
• creating a waterproof mesh
• working on each frame separately or on a group of frames simultaneously
• filling holes even for complex objects
• adjust focus
• automatic removal of tags from the scan
• exporting the scan to obj, stl, ply, wrml files

Calibry Nest is a comprehensive 3D scanning solution that provides support for the entire 3D scanning process and post-processing of the performed scans. As part of post-processing, it is possible to determine the resolution of the scan, fill in holes, pre-clean the model, remove the substrate from under the object (e.g. scans made on a turntable), smooth and sharpen the model and reduce the weight of the resulting file.

The resulting files are compatible with 3D printers and can also be imported into any CAD program for reverse engineering.

Both the scanner firmware and the computer software are available in Polish.
