After starting Z-SUITE 2, the printer model selection menu will appear on the welcome screen. Zortrax printers are displayed with a photo and dimensions of the working area. After hovering the mouse cursor over the technology label in the upper left corner, the program will display the most important information about the selected 3D printing technology. After selecting the default 3D printer, the welcome screen will not be displayed. The software allows you to add an external LCD printer to the program panel. The user can quickly and easily open previously added files from the list in the RECENT FILES section, which is available in the menu on the left. All files downloaded from the Zortrax library are stored in the Z-SUITE folder, which is available in the menu on the left.

Z-SUITE software allows you to change the basic program settings and adapt its operation to the needs and hardware parameters of your computer. In the main window, select File -> Preferences to access one of three sections: Options, Notifications, Preview and Performance. In the Options menu, you can change the program language, select the default printer, change the location of the Z-SUITE folder (Windows only), and enable or disable the option to export .zcode (x) reports to a .txt file.

Z-SUITE software allows you to enable and disable notifications and pop-ups. The menu shows a complete list of notifications that may appear while using the program. Just select or deselect the notification you want to appear or hide. In the preview and performance menu you can change the color of models and supports in all dots, enable or disable control handles for the Move, Resize and Rotate tools, enable or disable the Anti-aliasing option (increases/decreases the quality of the model preview in all steps), enable or disable displaying the .zcode(x) preview, enable or disable the operation history, change the .zcode(x) preview quality.

On the welcome screen you can easily access the basic functions of Z-SUITE 2. On the top bar there is a "File" menu, where you can start working on a new project, load a model or .zcode (x), or select a file from the list of recently opened files.

There is also a "Help" section on the main menu where you can report a bug or submit a feature request. You can also access the Zortrax library where you can browse available models. The program allows you to select the printer model to be used. Once you have selected your printer, you can add files using drag and drop, the "+" icon, or the "Add files to print" button.

Z-SUITE software - Adding an external LCD printer

To add an external LCD printer go to the "external LCD printers" tab, which is located on the right side of the welcome screen, and select the "Add external LCD printer" option. After selecting this option, a window will appear in which you must provide information such as: printer name, print volume (X,Y,Z), horizontal resolution, vertical resolution and file format. After entering all parameters, accept the parameters with the "ok" button. After completing the above steps, your printer will appear in the list.

NOTE: Some Z-SUITE options may not be available when preparing a model for an external resin printer.

Z-SUITE software - Tabs

While preparing your model, you can add a new tab at any time, start working on a completely different project, or try different print settings for the same model. As with any web browser, you can add a tab by clicking the "+" icon next to an already open tab. Switching between multiple tabs is very easy. The tabs work independently, which allows you to work with multiple 3D printers at the same time.

The devices panel allows you to work with one or more Zortrax devices (printers M200 Plus, M300 Plus</ a>, M300 Dual and Inkspire 2 or Zortrax Apoller), which are connected to the local network via Wi-Fi or an Ethernet cable. After opening the devices panel tab, you can search for devices available in the local network and add them to the program panel. Select the icon with the IP address of your device and click it to add the device to the panel. You can also add devices manually by entering its IP address.

Z-SUITE software allows you to easily manage each added device. You can start, stop, or pause the printing process (M Series Plus), view the current device status, rename your device, preview basic device information, or preview the printer's camera (M Series Plus) every time When the added device finishes the printing or smoothing process, a notification will appear in the panel. The notification appears in the upper right corner of the device icon (blue question mark) and in the tab bar (red circle). On the Files tab of 3D printers you can preview all .zcodex files that are saved on the USB flash drive. You can transfer .zcodex files directly from your computer to the printer using a Wi-Fi or Ethernet cable.

The "Model" step allows you to change basic model settings such as its position, size or layout in the workspace view. It is possible to move the view of the workspace around the screen, rotate it or change it to another one. In this step, you can undo or repeat any model editing action using the arrows in the upper left corner. The "Print Settings" step allows you to adjust normal or advanced settings and parameters affecting the quality and durability of the model.

ATTENTION! If you are preparing a model for a project, there are only three steps to follow. Supports are always generated automatically.

The "Support" step is only available after selecting the "Editable Support" option in the "Print Settings" step. This step allows you to manipulate the position and number of supports in 3D prints. You can undo or repeat any actions related to adding and removing supports at any time using the arrows in the upper left corner. In the "Preview" step, the program cuts the model and displays a ready-to-print .zcode / .zcodex file.
