3D scanning

3D printing technology with its detail, allows you to create complex and demanding objects. By designing a 1:1 sculpture, the GMN - Get Models Now design office wanted to show that 3D printing offers unlimited possibilities, and post-production allows you to achieve any desired effect. The challenge was to create a unique design obtained by using the 3D scanning method, developing multi-part printing technology and connections, as well as the final antique styling combined with modernity.

3D printing

The GMN - Get Models Now design office, using 3D scanning and printing technology, created a large-format human design on a 1:1 scale. The scan application allowed for saving the man's silhouette and reproducing it as closely as possible to the real structure of the character. The next stage was to connect the individual parts of the model, which, when put together, created a whole human figure in its actual size.

Making a sculpture using 3D printing

Post-production made it possible to create a unique model of a man by giving it a natural form and shapes characteristic of the character depicted. Thanks to the use of many procedures, authenticity was achieved, thus showing that using 3D printing and the post-production process is possible to create faithful copies of reality, including human figures. The entire project was completed in 30 days.
