Prusa CORE One+ (Gen 2) 3D Printer – changes introduced

The Prusa CORE One+ (Gen 2) is an upgraded version of the CORE One+ model, featuring new functions and components that enhance user convenience and operational autonomy. The Prusa CORE One+ (Gen 2) introduces a range of improvements, such as shorter wait times before printing begins, cleaner print starts, smoother surfaces, and easier access for maintenance. Additionally, firmware updates simplify the 3D printer's day-to-day operation.

Faster print start

Faster print start

The Prusa CORE One+ (Gen 2) features a redesigned print bed mounting system that ensures more efficient thermal management of the build platform. Thanks to these design improvements, the need for a separate preheating and heat absorption procedure has been eliminated for materials requiring a bed temperature of up to 85°C.

Smoother surfaces

Smoother surfaces

The Prusa CORE One+ (Gen 2) 3D printer features new GT1.5 belts that minimize the visibility of unwanted, repetitive patterns, making them finer and harder to detect—especially on large, smooth surfaces where even slight geometric deviations can be clearly visible.

Cleaner print starts

Cleaner print starts

The Prusa CORE One+ (Gen 2) 3D printer features an integrated nozzle wiper that removes residual filament before printing begins. This solution reduces the risk of loose strands and small material remnants accumulating on the print bed surface, thereby enhancing process reliability and improving first-layer quality.

Plug and Print

Plug and Print - factory calibration

The printer is factory calibrated and ready to use right out of the box. A one-time calibration is all it takes to start printing. Recalibration is available from the menu if necessary. Advanced sensors, including a strain gauge in the Nextruder, ensure automatic bed leveling and a perfect first layer across the entire surface.

Nextruder with 360° Cooling and Input Shaper

The upgraded Nextruder Direct Drive extruder with 360° cooling enables flawless printing of complex, unsupported parts with an angle of up to 75°, saving time and material. CoreXY kinematics, a high-flow nozzle (Prusa Nozzle High-Flow CHT), and Input Shaper technology (active vibration cancellation) ensure high print speeds without sacrificing quality. Print profiles developed by Prusa Research almost completely eliminate vertical fine lines and unsightly vertical stripes, allowing you to use finished prints as final products. Nextruder is compatible with E3D V6 nozzles (with an adapter).

Actively heated chamber up to 55 °C

The compact, volume-minimized build chamber allows for quick temperature gains of up to 55°C. The automatic ventilation system and active temperature control ensure optimal printing conditions for advanced materials: ASA, ABS, PC, and PA (nylon) – without warping. The all-steel housing structure is an integral part of the printer, providing the stability and rigidity necessary for operation at elevated temperatures.

Compact dimensions and print farms

Compact dimensions and print farms

The CORE One+ takes up 50% less space than the MK4S printer in an enclosure, while offering 30% more workspace. Compact dimensions (415 x 444 x 555 mm), a door that opens a full 180°, and the ability to feed filament from a spool located above the printer make the CORE One+ a solution for high-density print farms. The printer offers full offline functionality – the Wi-Fi module can be disconnected at any time.

Frequently Asked Questions - Prusa CORE One+ 3D Printer

The CORE One+ has a build volume of 250 x 220 x 270 mm. This is 30% larger than the MK4S enclosure, with 50% smaller external dimensions (415 x 444 x 555 mm).

The CORE One+ features automatic top venting (opening/closing depending on the material), a new filament feed point for easier feeding of flexible materials, a new spool holder for different spool sizes, and all CORE One firmware updates. The build volume, CoreXY kinematics, Nextruder, and chamber temperature (55°C) are identical.

The CORE One L has a twice as large build volume (300 × 300 × 330 mm vs. 250 × 220 × 270 mm) and a higher chamber temperature (60 °C vs. 55 °C). The CORE One L features a new build table with two fans, two included nozzles, and a removable camera. The CORE One+ is a compact model designed for high-density print farms.

The printer supports 1.75mm filaments: PLA, PETG, Flex (TPU), PVA, PC, PP, CPE, and PVB. A chamber heated to 55°C allows printing with ASA, ABS, PC, and PA (nylon). The Nextruder with a High-Flow CHT nozzle supports print profiles for over 200 filaments. A special filament sensor mode simplifies feeding flexible materials.

Yes. Compact dimensions, a 180° opening door, and filament feeding from a spool above the printer allow for high rack density. Prusa Connect enables remote fleet management. The printer operates fully offline – the Wi-Fi module is disconnected.

The extruder automatically opens the top ventilation grille when printing with low-temperature materials (PLA, PETG) and closes it for high-temperature materials (ABS, ASA, PC, PA). The system ensures optimal thermal conditions without operator intervention – a new feature introduced in the CORE One+ model.

The CORE One+ works with PrusaSlicer (an open-source slicer with profiles for 200+ filaments), Prusa Connect (remote print and fleet management), and the Prusa App (a mobile app with Printables.com integration). The printer supports offline mode without a network connection.
