CORE One Textured Powder coated Print Sheet is a spring steel build plate with a powder-coated PEI surface, designed for heavy-duty use and long service life. Powder coating directly on the metal makes the surface exceptionally resistant to damage. If a heated nozzle comes into contact with the build plate, the heat is quickly dissipated, minimizing the risk of permanent defects. The pronounced texture transfers to the underside of prints, giving them a distinctive look while effectively masking minor scratches that may occur during use. Only the very tops of micro-protrusions may get scratched, which does not affect the quality of printed models. This is the same surface used on the production farm where CORE One printer parts are manufactured. The build plate does not require additional adhesives when printing with PETG, and models release automatically once cooled. It also performs well with PLA, although using a brim is recommended for small parts. Large models may show a tendency to warp, so adjusting print settings is advised. Acetone should be avoided when cleaning, as it causes microcracks in the PEI structure and accelerates surface degradation. Safer cleaning methods, such as isopropyl alcohol, are recommended.
